Congratulations Jantine!!

We are so proud of Jantine!!! Congratulations and Thank you for sharing with us!

We are so excited to begin a program called Global Read Aloud. Our class, along with many other first graders across the nation and world will be reading the same book in class, Marty McGuire by Kate Messner. We will be connecting with students across the nation to compare ideas about the book. Our class is connecting with a class from Massachusetts and thought you may enjoy seeing them. We also sent them a picture of us from Texas!

Counselor Visit

Mrs. Martinez came to our classroom for a fun and informative visit! Mrs. Martinez told us all about her job and how she can help us when we need her! She comes to visit our classroom often and always teaches us how to get along with all people! Thank you Mrs. Martinez!!!

Partner Fun

We are great at

working cooperatively with a partner or a group!

Quick Counting

We have been working on Quick Images using ten frames. The students loved working with a partner to view a ten frame for 3 seconds and creating the number with tally marks on the ipad using the Doodle Buddy App. We are working with ten frame counting for students quickly view tens. They are now experts!

BCE 1st Grade Rocks!!

We used an iPad App to practice writing words and letters. We decided to create a message about our feelings about the second week of first grade!! Looking forward to an incredible year!!
