We had a fantastic first day of first grade! Our class/team did a great job listening and sharing about classroom guidelines and our 1st day feelings ( jitters). We read the book First Day Jitters by Julie Danneberg. Just ask them WHO had the most jitters!
It IS going to be an incredible 1st grade year!!!!We are looking forward to day 2!! The first week can be exhausting----for all of us:). Get some rest Team! We will see you tomorrow!
Today at Edcamp GCISD teachers gathered to collaborate and learn from one another! I'm excited to use Class Flow to push active inspire creations to students. Zondle is a great way to engage students and be able to assess their learning. I am ready to engage my students in Genius Hour where students are free to explore a passion or inquire about something of interest--Wonderopolis is an interesting way for students to inquire! It has been a great day of learning! Thanks to GCISD digital coaches for planning!
What an incredible Career Day!! Thank you to Mr. Garcia, Ms.Lim, Mr. Eichelberger and Mr McMaster!! It was so fun to learn about new jobs. Some of us decided to change the career we thought we wanted after listening! Thank you so much taking time out of your day to share with us!!!
We were so excited to have a google hangout with friends from 3rd grade and from Chicago!!! We talked about our favorite parts of our read aloud, The One and Only Ivan! Thank you 3rd grade and Chicago friends for a fun "hangout"!
Sometimes you just have to have FUN!!! Our first graders are loving the gorgeous Texas weather! After a long Texas winter, spring means flowers, gardens, sunshine, some rain, happy days and just a lot of outside FUN!!!
